The Genesis of the Considering the Sequels Podcast

And so it begins. May 18, 2010 is when Bill Barnes (somewhere in West Virginia) and Andy Howell (Provo, Utah) agreed to host the Considering the Sequels podcast with me, Jason Pyles (Salt Lake City, Utah). This podcast is an outcropping of the Considering the Cinema discussion blog, which is hosted by Andy and me.

For this podcast, each month the three of us and a varying surprise guest will produce a film-related show in which we discuss a movie franchise and its sequels, including prequels, where applicable. Occasionally we'll discuss two franchises, and sometimes we'll consider remakes, reboots and spin-offs, as well.

We plan to record and post our first episode here on this site sometime in late June 2010. For our first podcast, we'll be considering the movies of the "Back to the Future" trilogy. Please stay tuned.

Thanks,
Jason Pyles

Addendum: And on May 27, Heftel Studios — Utah's slickest recording studio — became the official sponsor of the Considering the Sequels podcast.
